The Countdown To NOEW

We’re now almost six weeks away from one of Louisiana’s larger gatherings of entrepreneurs, ideas, and potential investors, the New Orleans Entrepreneur Week.

NOEW is an entirely unique experience, and not because of what New Orleans typically offers. Between the days of March 19th and 24th, the city’s creative energy is harnessed and directed toward a single purpose—to support entrepreneurship and growing companies within Louisiana. Through local and national partnership, NOEW is six days of collaboration, presentations, community involvement, and product development.

As a proud sponsor of NOEW, we at Innovation Catalyst want local and regional entrepreneurs to make the most of the experience. We are there to witness the best of what your products and services have to offer, both to as potential investors and to your potential audiences at large. Since the event is free and open to the public, there is room for everyone to come and explore innovation from its rough outlines through incubation and launch.

As part of our partnership with NOEW, we’ve joined with Nexus for Startup Catalyst, a showcase of local and regional entrepreneurs at NOEW. We’ll start on Monday, March 20th and go through our Baton Rouge Day and BREW reception on Thursday, March 23rd. This is the time entrepreneurs from all over the state of Louisiana will have a chance to pitch and demonstrate their products and ideas right from the heart of the conference. (It’s not too late to make the list. Fill out this form or contact jon@ideavillage.org).

We will also participate as panelists during Get Started Louisiana, a live forum and pitch competition sponsored by Inc Magazine and Cox Business that will bring together more of the best and brightest minds in our state. Applicants must register here before midnight on February 24, 2017, to jump in.

Of course, there is more to NOEW than pitching to investors. The week also includes Tech Speed Dating to help companies brainstorm technical solutions, the Salesforce-Silverline, where two companies will receive $15,000 in professional Salesforce implementation services, and many other events, presentations, and services geared toward start-ups and the entrepreneurial mindset. This involves everything from getting advice on cash flow to sharing and developing their business goals.

In short, NOEW is a course requirement for every start-up and would-be entrepreneur. Come for the energy, and leave with new contacts, new opportunities, and newfound potential. We’ll be right there in the middle of it and can’t see what you bring to the event.
